Left alone, a rotting stump can also become a breeding ground for termites, carpenter ants, and fungi that can spread to other healthy trees or even your home.
Digging a stump out by hand is back-breaking work, and chemicals take years to work. The Lumberjacks solution is fast, mechanical, and permanent. We have the equipment to handle the largest stumps in Chattanooga or squeeze into hard-to-reach backyards to reclaim your property.
We carefully maneuver our specialized stump grinders into position, ensuring we don’t damage your lawn or nearby structures. We set up shields if necessary to contain flying debris.
Using a high-speed rotating disk with carbide teeth, we chip away the stump wood. Crucially, we grind below grade (below ground level), ensuring the root ball is destroyed so you can plant grass or landscape right over the spot.
The grinding process produces mulch. We can rake this out into the yard for you, or for a complete finish, we can haul the chips away and backfill the hole with topsoil, leaving a flat surface ready for seed or sod.
